Brigid Blanckenberg

Clinical Psychologist

Telehealth only, accepting new clients

Brigid works collaboratively to help build connection with values and understanding of life challenges. She draws on a range of evidence based modalities to support her clients' growth, including Schema Therapy, EMDR, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, DBT skills, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She tends to adopt a relational, attachment focused approach that considers the impacts of childhood experiences on current thoughts, feelings and behaviours, especially within relationships.

As a former yoga teacher and longterm meditator, she is very interested in mindfulness and somatic based therapeutic approaches that explore the body-mind connection while strengthening self-compassion and acceptance.

She has experience working in a range of settings with adults and adolescents experiencing challenges with anxiety, mood, stress, personality, relationships, self esteem, life transitions, grief, identity and body image; and I'm passionate about working with members of the LGBTIQ+ community.
